Deadlift Tip: Spread The Floor – (Video)
I learned this tip many years ago when I did a two day workshop in Arizona with lower back and spine expert Dr. Stu McGill.
At the time my back was injured so bad that I couldn’t train at all. I could not squat or deadllift, I was in rough shape and in pain all the time.
I learned a lot of great tips and technical cues from Dr. McGill and one of them was to focus on “Spreading The Floor” when you deadlift.
By doing this your posterior chain (aka the glutes & hamstrings) get turned on before and during the deadlift making this lift a much stronger and safer deadlift.
Watch this video where I explain it in more detail.
Give it a try and let me know how you find it.
