Military Press Key Points:

  • Uses no leg drive
  • The legs are locked
  • The core is tight
  • The glutes are tight
  • The only thing working is the upper body

Push Press Key Points:

  • Uses leg drive (known as the dip & drive)
  • The legs move and lock at the top
  • The core is tight
  • The glutes are tight
  • The whole body is being used.  A dip is initiated at the hips and legs.
