Don’t Make This Box Jump Mistake
Jumping is one of the best things you can do for numerous reasons such as improved athletics, co-ordination, explosiveness and more. But when it comes to jumps far too often I see the same mistake done over and over which can lead to injury and that is I see people jumping up to a box and then either jumping back down (not good) or taking a high step down (not good).
By doing either of these your chance of injury is much higher. On the jump down your Achilles tendon or knees will take a beating, on the long step down your hips or hamstrings are at a high chance of tear or injury.
A simple way to deal with this is always remember, jump up, then step down or jump up and step to a lower box next to your normal box.
Always remember – Jump Up & Step Down.
