Over Head Press Tip: If your shoulders or elbows hurt when doing a barbell overhead press try this one simple thing.
Today one of my athletes said that barbell overhead press hurt her shoulder. Sometimes this one simple tip can help reduce pain in the wrist, elbow or shoulder.
Instead of gripping the bar with a full grip (thumb around the bar) try a false grip (thumb under the bar).
For some people that have pain with over head pressing this simple tip can help.
It can also be applied to pull ups as well.
