What does your belly button have to do with pull ups?
If you want to get stronger on pull ups it’s important to use your full body. Not just your upper body. This is a common mistake a lot of women make.
The goal should be to generate full body strength. To do this you want to squeeze your glutes and use your hips along with the upper body.
Once you get stronger you can look at using your upper body only, but if your goal is to do a pull up use to learn your whole body not just your arms and upper body.
