Here is a simple tip for a stronger and safer bench press.
When you bench heavy (what I consider 1-5 reps) you want to take a big breath into your chest and hold your breath.
Far too often I see women they will breath out when they bench press.
Do not to do this.
Here is a simple rule for most women when they bench press.
“If the bar is moving you are not breathing”.

Take a big breath into your chest and hold your breath. This will make your bench press stronger and safer.
There are some advanced techniques of breathing out at a certain point in the bench press but for the most part if the bar is moving you are not breathing.
Take a big breath, hold it then bench press.
