If you are struggling to find your squat depth give this a try.

The ball will give you a tactile cue of when to come back up. This way you will know exactly where your squat depth is.

Use different size balls to find your perfect depth.

For a gym squat go parallel, a competition squat most times is below parallel “crease of the hip below the top of the knee”.
